Introduction

Aircontrol is another large gravure producer in the field and they have a fairly unique take on the genre. Moe debuted with BAGUS back in 2014 and shortly after made her debut in the JAV world with par for the course S1, so she was fairly experienced in nude content and the like. This particular film has some differing characteristics from other IVs, such as those produced by REbecca. First, music takes a back seat, its not completely gone, but its mostly non-existent in a form that compliments the scene. Second, the film focuses on Moe interacting with the viewer, answering several questions as the scenes progress to her being nude and taking glamour poses as she talks. There is simulated sex as well, sort of, but we’ll get to that. On to the film review.

Production & Setting

The film starts off with Moe at what looks to be a resort (or some rich guy’s beachfront home). From here it’s off to the races, the first question is posed within the first minute and it goes from there, question after question with short breaks after a few so Moe can undress. Her first outfit and setting is solid, red underwear, black heels and pantyhose and a tropical destination, sold. It moves from here into the hotel room where the colors of the bed mantle and the cushions contrasts and meshes really well with Moe’s overall appearance, however, I would say the mosaic is a little strong in this one, virtually nothing is visible down below, not even the butthole, but maybe Moe didn’t want that all visible (also, it’s kinda funny to see her answer questions while having her ass face the camera).

The film maintains this setting and just moves it back and forth between outdoors patio settings and a darker romantic bedroom for the evening shots. There is subtle music that can be heard in the pauses between questions and during the more gravure focused parts, but it’s very light and difficult to notice for the most part (with the exception of vocal tracks being used in one part of the second scene). The outfits work for every scene but they serve more as a means of lengthening the teasing process as Moe works on talking to the camera man. For the remainder of the film we go to several other brightly lit outdoorsy scenes, from the pool to an indoor bathtub, to more patios. The pool setup is a well done tease for an excellent indoor bathtub session, with bright light and green all over the place. It works well with Moe’s outfit and visual style.

All of these scenes have solid color saturation and presentation with Moe, with the exception of the previously mentioned darker romantic scene, but that was still executed well visually for what it was. The finale to the film is where things take a big turn, here we are in that dimly lit bedroom again for a night of romance and Moe is tied up standing on the bed wearing leather black and red lingerie and being played with by the cameraman. The lighting works as does the setting, but it doesn’t quite slip into full simulated sex at all, which is kind of a tease but perhaps that’s the point. The final scene is a morning shoot out on the morning patio with some toy play, it looks visually good, but the question part is effectively gone and without music to supplement it, it’s a little boring.

Score: 7.5/10 (Production), 7.5/10 (Setting)

Music

It’s there now and then but rarely doing anything to benefit the film, even during the majority of the gravure portions there is virtually no sound. When it’s there it is light hearted which suits the theme but there needs to be more throughout the film. Something needs to be there during the non-talking parts to help move it along otherwise it’s just a moving screensaver.

Score: 3/10

Aesthetics & Performance

Visually the scenes are all well lit except for the purposely down darker bedroom scenes that were meant to be romantic. Tons of natural light and greens are prevalent everywhere, whether that be from the forest or from the furniture used. Moe herself looks attractive in every scene, her red underwear set in the first is top tier, and I’d say the pool/bathtub outfit is the best of the bunch, with the leather lingerie in the last scene coming in second. Moe’s visuals work with every backdrop more or less, at least once it’s primarily the underwear that is visible, some sets like the last one don’t have an appealing outfit until it’s just bra and panties.

Performance wise, it’s clearly a date or vacation or something between Moe and the viewer (Mr. Camera Man), and so she plays a girlfriend fairly well, talking to the viewer and laughing about some of the questions (if I knew more Japanese I could likely give a better review based on context but I don’t so alas). The simulated sex parts, which are kinda sorta there, aren’t really good, I can give kudos to Moe for trying to act them out but either there wasn’t much direction given on the production side or something was lost in process because they don’t really end up being all that much. Moe looks also to be grinding on a dildo during the last romantic scene and we see her from behind as she’s doing this, but I’m only guessing at this part, to me it looks like she is just twerking with her mosaiced butthole in our faces. Overall not bad, certainly a different take on the gravure formula.

Score: 8.5/10 (Aesthetics), 7/10 (Performance)

Summary

An interesting gravure formula, it was nice visually and if I knew more Japanese it could likely have been more enjoyable to watch, however, there are some rough spots here and there that seemed to just miss the mark of what I believe they were attempting to accomplish. Moe is a good performer but the style of this IV is a bit hit and miss for myself. Had Moe been answering personal questions and talking more throughout the scenes, then I’d like it more, or if they went more towards the gravure portion with music. This middle of the road girlfriend experience route just seemed like a missed opportunity in certain aspects, with Moe’s appearance and personality in some scenes being the main thing holding this film together. (Needs a lot more music, had it even been present in every scene in some capacity that was audible, I would have bumped it up to a 7+)

Final Score: 6.7/10
Pros

– Moe’s performance was good and she looked great
– Set pieces, backdrops, and outfits are all appealing and done well

Cons

– Music was inconsistent in its use and quality
– Simulated sex scenes were pretty poor in attempt
